IRS matters that
we regularly engage in for all upstate and central New
York Counties include:
See below for more
detailed information on those services is provided
below.
Our office provides
IRS and Tax services through to taxpayers in all upstate
New York Counties, including: Saratoga County, Albany County,
Rensselaer County, Schenectady County, Warren County,
Fulton County and Montgomery County.
Offer in
Compromise and Settlement
An Offer in
Compromise and Settlement is an IRS program that allows
you to compromise your debt to the IRS by paying less
than you actually owe. If you have been
procrastinating in the hope that your IRS debt would
disappear, you could be making your problem worse.
Interest and penalties will continue to accrue on your
tax debt until you take steps to solve this problem with
the IRS. Our office can help to negotiate a
settlement that you can afford to pay.
Penalty
Abatement
The longer you
wait to solve your IRS problems, the more you will owe.
Penalties and interest will continue to be added to your
bill until you take steps to solve this problem.
Fortunately, in some circumstances, the IRS will excuse
or waive the penalties that you owe. That is
called a Penalty Abatement. Our office can help to
negotiate a penalty abatement if you qualify.
Release
of IRS Liens/Stop IRS Levies
Has the IRS filed a lien against your
property or bank account? Has the IRS actually
levied upon that property? That may have happened
because you ignored the IRS's previous notices. It
is possible to have a lien lifted under certain
circumstances. It is also possible to have a levy
stayed for a period of time while we attempt to
negotiate your settlement. However, you must act
promptly if you want to free up your assets or money.
Help Settle Payroll Taxes
The IRS
aggressively pursues the payment of payroll taxes.
If your business has failed to pay taxes due or cannot
pay the taxes due, the IRS will look to the business
owner(s) to satisfy those debts. Our office can
help to negotiate a payment plan for you with the IRS
that can include an agreement by the IRS not to lien or
levy your business assets or bank accounts.
Innocent
Spouse Tax Relief
Innocent Spouse
Tax Relief may apply if you have been the victim of
fraud by your spouse or ex spouse. Often, after
divorce an innocent spouse receives a notice regarding
taxes due for business operations and/or tax liabilities
that they had no involvement in. If that applies
to you, our office can help you apply for Innocent
Spouse Tax Relief to ensure that the proper person -
your spouse or ex spouse - is the one to pay the tax
due.
